WordPress, full week of WordPress

When I was getting into WordPress community, never thought that I would be so into. It was the year 2013, was living in Norway and community in Serbia just had it’s the first meetup. I wasn’t there, but, I promised myself that I will do my best to push WP community in this part of the World.

Now there are three cities in Serbia with WP meetup (this Wednesday the third will have it’s first), and there are a couple of more cities willing to start organizing. This is huge!

Here is my week full of WP :)

Monday – Share about WordPress

Startit wrote announcement post on our WP Belgrade Meetup happening this Thursday, so today I am mostly sharing that news, just created FB event and invited all my FB friends.

Tuesday – Organize for WP

Last week we announced the call for all willing to help out organizing WP Meetups in Belgrade, Niš, and Novi Sad. Also, we have started with the preparations for WordCamp Belgrade 2017 and application for WordCamp Europe 2018. Going to go through all the applications (more than 40 and email all of them).

Wednesday – Contribute to WordPress

Novi Sad will have it’s first WordPress Meetup #WPNS, and I have the privilege to give a talk on “How to join Theme Review Team,” probably gonna post the photos from that event.

Thursday – Host WP geeks

We are continuing with our regular WordPress Meetups in Belgrade #wpbgd, and guess who is going to be a host – this guy :)

Friday – Eat for WP

Flying to Bucharest for a WordCamp Bucharest #wcbuc and going to attend Speakers dinner. Looking forward to meeting Romanian WordPress community.

Saturday – Theming the WP

Giving a talk at WordCamp Bucharest #wcbuc “Change your theme, but, keep your business.” Slightly updated the talk based on the feedback I got from the Ukrainian community during my stay at #WCKyiv.

Sunday – Contribute back to WP

Attending the Contributors day at WordCamp Bucharest #wcbuc and going to do my best to meet as many new people as I can.

So, how about you? Have you ever had weeks like this? Let me know in the comments. Thanks!

  1. I really enjoyed meeting you again Milan and thanks for allowing me to finally pay for dinner too.
Following WordCamp Bucharest and more so after Contributor Day. I decided to get much more involved in the community, on a personal level, beyond what Sucuri already does.
Our talk about how you do it and the concept of employees volunteering at ManageWP did help a lot.
So next is Global Translation Day and before that we are already planning the first ever WordPress meetup in Cluj, Romania.
I’ll be seeing you in Philly.
    Have a great week!
